The Valley of the Kings
Secluded amidst the bone-dry Theban Hills, the Valley of the Kings was intended as the ultimate insurance policy on life eternal. These secretive tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs were planned to preserve their mummies and funerary impedimenta for eternity.

The Valley of the Kings contains 21 tombs of the Theban pharaohs who reigned from the 18th to the 20th Dynasties. They are decorated with magnificent \ paintings , illustrating the Afterlife, the great magical religious writings of the time, and the otherworldly destiny of the king.
