Skeleton Coast National Park
The Skeleton Coast Park is situated in the Namib Desert and covers approximately 1600-km sq. Stretching from the Ugab River south of the Kunene River on the Angolan border to in the north. This is narrow strip is nowhere more than 40 km wide. For more interested visitors there is highly adapted plant, animals life, sand dunes, gravel plains and beaches to be observed.
The name of the park is no more metaphor. This coast is graveyard for ill-fated seafarers and in attentive whales, and the dense fogs. That frequently arises here shroud shipwrecks and bones as well as the surreal dunes of the Namib. Read the rest of this entry »
