Namibia Canoeing Safari

Canoeing in Namibia takes place at the Kavango River and the Kunene River. Kavango River is the place where a spectacular variety of plants, animals, birds are present and the area is one of the world’s premier safari destinations.

The Kunene River is the section, which consists of quite long stretches of quiet water interspread with rapids ranging from grade one to four. Being downstream from the Raucana hydroelectric scheme, the water level fluctuates daily with the opening of sluice gates and obviously also fluctuates annually. Read the rest of this entry »
