The Tuli Game Reserve takes in a 7500 hectare chuck bitten out of the Mashatu Game Reserve lies between the Limpopo and Shashe rivers. PostHeaderIcon Historical Sites In Botswana


Mochudi
Mochudi, which is probably the most interesting village in southeastern Botswana, was first settled by the Kwena in the mid 1500s, as evidenced by ruined stone walls in the hills. In 1871 it was settled by the Kgatla people, who had been forced from their lands by northward-trekking Boers.

The cape Dutch-style Phuthadikobo Museum established in 1976, is one of Botswana’s best, and reveals the history of Mochudi and the Kgatla people. It’s open on Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and on weekends from 2 to 5 pm. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted. Read the rest of this entry »
